Nupes of the coastal empire

The establishment of the Richmond Hill-Midway (GA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was born out of vision, brotherhood, and deep commitment to expanding our noble clan within the growing communities of Bryan and Liberty Counties.  As the region continued to flourish with new families and professionals relocating to the Costal Empire, it became clear that many Kappa men were making Richmond Hill, Midway, Hinesville and the surrounding areas their home. The need for a local alumni chapter became both evident and urgent.

In early 2025, the idea first emerged during a conversation between Brother James Freeman (Past Polemarch) and Brother Terry Enoch (Past Polemarch), who discussed the significant growth taking place and the increasing number of Brothers moving into the area.  Brother Freeman offered the initial suggestion of "planting the seed" that would eventually lead to the formation of the RHM Alumni Chapter.  His encouragement and guidance played a foundational role in shaping the vision.  Motivated by this change, Brother Enoch reached out to Brothers he knew locally, including Brother Walter L. Carter Jr. (Past Polemarch), and Brother Dr. Mark Clayton, who immediately embraced the concept and joined in the early planning discussions. Their shared enthusiasm and vision helped propelled the momentum necessary to begin building a core group of committed chartering Brothers. 

In the summer of 2025, the first gathering was conducted in the office of Dr. Clayton via zoom.  In person were Terry Enoch, Dr. Mark Clayton and Walter Carter.  As planning continued, Brother Freeman, himself a Past Province Polemarch, introduced Brother Enoch to Brother Delmar Whittington, Charter Member of South Fulton Alumni Chapter in Atlanta Metropolitan Region.  Brother Whittington provided invaluable insight, lessons learned, and strategic guidance based on his own chartering experience. His wisdom became a pivotal force in shaping the administrative and organizational framework of the future Chapter.
